Mat has valuation experience related to a variety of purposes. Mat is proficient in the analysis of public market guideline companies, merger and acquisition markets and evaluating industry and economic conditions that impact a company's operations.
Prior to joining Chartwell, Mat interned at a global grain trading firm where he completed crop production models used by the Company’s Chief Executive Officer. His duties included commodity markets research, as well as analysis relating to the firm’s expansion. Additionally, he interned at a local M&A boutique where he did industry research for sell-side transactions.
As an undergraduate student, Mat spent a semester abroad studying financial theory, banking, portfolio management, and corporate policy in St. Gallen, Switzerland at one of Europe’s premier schools for corporate finance and consulting, the University of St. Gallen.
Mat holds a Bachelor of Science degree in finance from the University of Minnesota Carlson School of Management.
