Wil is Managing Director of the Specialized Valuation Services practice at Chartwell. Wil focuses on valuations of privately held companies for equity compensation plans, financial reporting and general corporate planning purposes. He also supports Chartwell’s Corporate Finance group with M&A and corporate consulting.
Wil is a Registered Representative with Chartwell affiliate, CCS Transactions, LLC and holds FINRA Series 7, 24, and 79 licenses.
Wil specializes in valuations of companies with complex capital and ownership structures. He conducts valuations of corporate securities issued as equity compensation to comply with IRS and financial reporting requirements under IRC §409A and ASC 718, respectively. Wil also conducts valuations of companies and intangible assets for various financial reporting purposes. He has been a presenter on IRC §409A and ASC 718 valuation issues to professional groups and clients.
Wil serves as financial advisor to business owners seeking to sell their companies or make strategic acquisitions. He provides financial advisory services including business valuations and the effects of corporate initiatives such as recapitalizations, consolidations or spin-offs.
He is a member of Financial Executives International, The Collaborative, The Appraisal Issues Task Force, National Center for Employee Ownership, and Association for Corporate Growth.
Wil is an Accredited Senior Appraiser. He holds a Bachelor of Arts degree in finance, with honors, from the University of St. Thomas. Wil also holds a Master of Business Administration degree, with an emphasis in finance, from the University of St. Thomas.
